Baby on the 39th week of your pregnancy:
During the 39th pregnancy week, the baby's height is about 51 cm and the weight is about 3200 grams.
The thirty-ninth week is now the day when birth can take place anytime. The thin lanugo feathers covering the babe disappear. Baby's lung development and surfactant secretion is now completely ready for birth. The baby is too tight to move within the uterus.
In these weeks there is not much change except to gain weight in the baby; Mother, father and family usually deal with childbirth preparations and plans. (see birth approaching)
Mother on the 39th week of your pregnancy:
In the thirtieth week of your pregnancy, most of the mothers' candidates will be born, and some may still be waiting for the mothers to start. Cesarean-planned mothers will have their babies in cesarean section surgery at or around this week.
A 9-month-long pregnancy ends at the end of the follow-up period, but after that a new and longer follow-up period begins, baby follow-ups. Your pediatric specialist doctor should have your baby's follow-up done on time and regularly, at least as important as pregnancy follow-ups. Babies and children are not taken medicine when they are sick, are regularly vaccinated, their progress is good, they are measured and weighed, they are detected and treated early in case of a possible disease.
Mothers who still have no symptoms of wheezing or no birth, even though week 39, should not worry as long as no problems are found in examination, ultrasound and NST. There is time until the 40th week (39 weeks, 7 days), even 41 weeks (sometimes 42.).
